How much do sessions cost?

Initial intake sessions are $175. Ongoing 50-minute therapy sessions are $150. Extended 90-minute sessions are available for $225 when additional time may be beneficial, including for some EMDR work.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network, self-pay provider and do not accept insurance directly. I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to learn about your benefits.

Why don’t you accept insurance?

I have chosen to operate as a self-pay practice so that therapy can remain as private, flexible, and individualized as possible. Using insurance typically requires a mental health diagnosis and may involve sharing certain information about your treatment with your insurance company.

Working outside of insurance also gives us greater flexibility in determining the length, frequency, and focus of sessions based on what feels clinically appropriate for you, rather than what an insurance plan may authorize or reimburse.

I recognize that self-pay therapy is a financial investment. For clients with out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Where do sessions take place?

Therapy sessions are offered virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to clients throughout Ohio or at my office in Beachwood.

What are your hours?

My availability varies depending on my current caseload. Please reach out to discuss current openings and scheduling.

Do I have to be in Ohio to receive services?

Yes. For telehealth sessions, you must be physically located in Ohio at the time of your appointment.

What happens during the free consultation?

The complimentary 15-minute consultation is an opportunity for you to share a little about what you're looking for, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged the full session fee.
